Nicole & Mike are married! Congratulations! They were married in Mequon at Lumen Christi Catholic Church. The celebration continued at the beautiful Hidden Glen Golf Club in Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Nicole & Mike’s day began with clouds and rain but that didn’t last long! Their day was perfect!
Nicole chose to do a first look with her Dad. There wasn’t a dry eye as EVERYONE, my assistant and the limo driver included, watched as Nicole’s dad saw his daughter in her wedding dress. It was the perfect first look!! I have photographed many first looks but this one was so very sweet.
Hidden Glen Golf Club was a beautiful setting for the couple’s wedding day! Nicole is an avid golfer and Mike is a willing newcomer to the game. The golf club made for a perfect setting for their celebration! It was an absolutely beautiful setting for an absolutely perfect day!
Congratulations! It’s your last year of high school. You’ve made it. You’re a senior, and it’s a time in your life you’ll always look back on with fondness and, perhaps, even a little relief that a new chapter of your life is about to begin. This is why senior photos are so important. It’s a rare opportunity for a once in a lifetime photography session.
As a Port Washington Senior Photographer, I recommend you commemorate who you are right now with professional photography. These aren’t photos you want a friend or a family member with a fancy camera to take. The old adage, “You get what you pay for” definitely applies to your senior portraits. There is a huge difference between a career photographer who understands the nuances of editing, lighting, and posing, and a college student who has pricey equipment and Photoshop. That’s why it is essential to choose a reliable, trusted professional. You can’t call a do-over on senior portraits, so let’s get it right the first time!
Diane Kinzer Photography is the premiere senior photography studio in the Greater Milwaukee area.

My work begins long before our first session and doesn’t end until the final product has been delivered—after hours of professional editing, of course. My goal is to capture your interests, style, and unique personality. You won’t find any cookie-cutter, one size fits all sessions here. You are free to be yourself, and I’m here to help you express who you are on camera. I’ll work with you one-on-one to find the right poses and positions that compliment you. We’ll try various settings and backgrounds to create variety and interest. I will treat you as an individual and work with you to design a session that fulfills your vision.
Several key elements set me apart from the competition. Unlike many photographers who have minimum order requirements, I allow my customers to simply order the photographs they want based on their needs and not something I’ve pre-determined for them. Some clients are disappointed that I do not offer a model representative program, but I have chosen not to recruit models because I want your recommendation to be genuine and not because you received something in return. I genuinely hope you are overjoyed with your photographs and can look back on them with reverie and affection. I want you to love these images so much that you recommend me to your friends and family. That’s the greatest compliment I can receive.
Seniors, you will never again have an opportunity, at least in this stage of your life, for photographs to be all about you, to tell your story, and to show who you really are. In fact, your next experience with a professional photographer might not be until your engagement or wedding. So make these images count! I want to capture something you will always look back on with fondness and pride. I look forward to working with you as your senior photographer. Let’s create some memories!
Sweet Graham just turned one, and we celebrated with a cake smash session, of course. I’ve been his Port Washington Photographer since he was a newborn. For his newborn session, I photographed him wearing an acorn hat in a hollowed out log, there is an acorn theme going here just wait you will see. 🙂 So it was only fitting that he sat on that same log for his one-year photo session. Graham’s smash cake was quite special as well. His Grandma had the fantastic idea to save and freeze the cake topper from his baby shower, a beautiful cake from Delicately Delicious in Cedarburg . What a wonderful tradition! As if this wasn’t poignant enough, this beautiful cake was decorated with fondant acorns. How cool is that?!
I absolutely adore when family tradition can be woven into photo sessions. It’s also one of the perks of finding a family photographer and maintaining a relationship with them throughout the years. I love to refer back to previous photos and weave little details into the stories of your photos. Not to mention we build a rapport, and a create a level of comfort that will show in your photographs. After all, the more relaxed and comfortable we all are, the better your photos turn out.
Graham has the sweetest mom and dad, Grant and Katie, a family that I have loved getting to know. They have even trusted me to photograph their beloved, and incredibly well behaved Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, Apollo. (Say that breed three times fast!) Apollo is one of those overachievers that make my 3 Scout, Charlie, and Bo look bad, real bad.
Graham is such a happy little guy, and he is becoming a big brother in October. I’m so excited to continue to photograph their family as it grows. I am so happy, and lucky to be their family photographer. I love watching young families grow. It is truly an honor to have families return to me year after year, child after child. That’s what I do, I document happiness.
Mother’s Day is a special time of year. I so enjoy offering mini sessions to celebrate moms because I love capturing the special bond between a mother and her child. There’s nothing like watching a mom see her child for the first time, or hold them for the first. It’s as though their heart is so full their chest could burst. While the intensity subsides, the love never does. It’s amazing what all I can grab on film in just a few short minutes- sweet kisses, hugs, snuggles. It’s all those moments that seem never ending when your kids are small. You convince yourself you’ll never forget it, but then one day, the memories slip further and further away. As a Port Washington Family Photographer, it’s my job to help you hold onto those memories forever.
It won’t just be important to you, mom. These photos will be important to your kids, too. After all, you are their best friend and partner in crime. Some days it’s hard for them to see it, but one day when they have children of their own, or simply more life experience behind them, they’ll understand that you were always on their side. They’ll know you were their greatest cheerleader, and they will have photos to look back on memories that disappeared from their early childhood faster than sand in a funnel. They will see you as the person who loved them the most no matter what. It makes my heart soar to know that I’m helping families pass down these sweet moments from one generation to the next.
I appreciate client feedback tremendously. It helps me grow, and it helps reassure me on even the hardest of days. I received a thank you from a lovely mom after the Mother’s Day session that read,
“I will treasure the photos forever.” Truly, nothing would make me happier.
Wisconsin Family Photographer Presents: Sweet Little Me Sessions
Photography Sessions Serving Brookfield, Whitefish Bay, Mequon, Milwaukee, Cedarburg, River Hills, Shorewood, Bayside, Elm Grove, Port Washington, and Grafton
As mothers, we’ve heard the sayings from the moment we announced we were expecting a child.
“They grow up so fast.”
“Don’t blink or you’ll miss their childhood.”
“Savor every moment. They’re only little for so long.”
We know in our hearts it’s true. We see the infant years that feel never-ending slide into toddlerdom and before we know it, our little angel is in kindergarten. All the words suddenly ring true when you look into the eyes of your child that literally grew overnight. You wonder where those chubby cheeks, bubbly hands, and that adorable little belly went. As a Wisconsin Family Photographer, I want to help you hold onto those precious memories for a lifetime with my Sweet Little Me Sessions. These sessions are designed to help you capture the heart and essence of your little girl’s childhood.
“Oh darling, don’t you ever grow up. Won’t you stay this little?” – Taylor Swift

All dresses, headbands, crowns, capes and hats are provided by your Wisconsin Family Photographer for your little one to explore and play with during your Sweet Little Me Session. Dresses are available in sizes 4T through 10. Wardrobe designers include Joyfolie, Tutu Du Monde, and Dollcake.

I’m often told that I must love my job. Random strangers will comment that it must be so much fun. So many people nod and smile in agreement when similar things are said to them, but I beam with pride. The truth is I love being your family photographer. It’s the coolest, most amazing job out there, and I’m passionate about it.
Long before your session begins, I’m thinking about your family. I’m mulling over how I can connect with you, your partner, and your children. I want to bring out your real smiles, not cheesy, fake ones. I’m deciding where the perfect location for your shoot will be, and what I can bring along that will flatter and accentuate you and your family. I want to tap into what makes your family tick so we can share the same creative vision for your new portraits. I love capturing that thing that makes you you, and reflects your family bond.
During your session, I get to be an honorary part of your family so I can capture this moment in time. I’m there for the most important, life changing moments of a person’s life: a new baby, a job promotion, a college acceptance. Kids grow up so very fast. (Take it from me. My youngest will be off to college soon. I blinked and he was grown!) Families change, and I’m so happy to be there with so many of my clients throughout it all. My clients have been so very loyal to me, and many have become friends. One of my favorite things in my studio is a bowl full of client thank you notes. It means so much to me that you love and connect with your images just as I connected with you and your family.
When someone asks what I do for a living, I could simply respond that I’m a photographer, but that really isn’t the tip of the iceberg. What do I do? I document happiness.

I love when a photo session is a little out of the ordinary, and this one was! There is nothing quite like a Lake Michigan Beach Maternity Session. Yes, please! I am so lucky to have Lake Michigan literally in my back yard. And to have the chance to photograph this gorgeous mama to be on the beach was so much fun! Laura was willing to brave the weather for the shots. April is not usually a warm time to be laying out on the Lake Michigan beach but Laura’s maternity session turned out to be a nice day. Beautiful South Beach in Port Washington was the perfect setting for her maternity photos. We are planning newborn photos on the same beach!! For the newborn session we are planning to have Dad’s fishing charter boat-Harbor City Sportfishing on the water. I can’t wait to meet the newest member of the Schwanz family!

Class of 2016 high school seniors it’s time to start thinking about those senior photos! Diane Kinzer Photography is the perfect choice!
High school seniors. Class of 2016 Port Washington Wisconsin
Love this image! I am starting to think about the Class of 2016’s high school senior portrait sessions. I am finding it so scary because my youngest son is a Class of 2016. Wow, where did the time go?
I LOVE photographing high school seniors! It is absolutely one of my favorite things about my job. High school seniors are fun, engaging, and just plain and simple a great photo shoot. I love hear about their plans for their future. School, military, work, travel, or that they are just trying to figure it all out. During their photo session I get to know so much about them.
High school senior
High school senior portraits should be an amazing and FUN experience. You only do it once! Senior photos mark such an important time in your life and let’s face it you are going to be looking at them for a long time. I still get to see my senior photos every time I go home to visit mom and dad. Right here hanging in the living room is my high school senior photo there for all to see 🙂 thank goodness I like it (even if the hair styles have changed). So thanks mom and dad for picking the right photographer for me! When you are looking around for a photographer talk to your friends who graduated last year. Ask them if they had fun, if they felt comfortable, and if they love their images. I hope to see you this summer!

This last week I got the opportunity to take Natalie’s two year old photo session at the beautiful Covered Bridge Park in Cedarburg, Wisconsin! Two year old photos sessions are quickly becoming a favorite at Diane Kinzer Photography! Natalie is the beautiful daughter of Jaime one the co-owner of Pear and Simple, an awesome boutique in downtown Port Washington, Wisconsin. I have gotten to know Jaime by taking photos for Pear and Simple and photographing some of the many fabulous events they hold there. Pear is Simple is always my go to shop for great gifts!
Natalie was so sweet and so much fun to photograph. One of the many wonderful aspects of being a photographer is it is my job to do fun things, including tea parties, with so many sweet kids! Anyone with kids in their lives knows that two years old is such an awesome age because you can really start to see their little personalities coming out! I love going through the photos I took after the shoot and finding the best shots that really showcase the fun little people they are! I am also so lucky to have Covered Bridge Park in Cedarburg Wisconsin so close to me to do photo shoots. For anyone who hasn’t been there, it is definitely worth the drive with a scenic river running through it and many picturesque areas that are especially beautiful in the spring with everything coming into bloom. I love outdoor photography and it is often difficult to get outside in our harsh Wisconsin winters, but the spring weather and stunning parks like Covered Bridge make it worth the wait. I was so happy I got to take the adorable Natalie’s photos and I loved how they turned out with the bright spring colors and her sunny personality! I just can’t wait until my next two year old session, they are always so much fun!
